The weary traveller returns

As mentioned in the previous post, we were staying very close to Rothbury.  We were also staying very close to a military range which meant lots of guns being fired whilst there was a gunman in the area.  Not ideal for good restful sleep.  We had a good time but I think we’ve come back tireder than when we went…!

On the plus side the weather was good – thanks for all the tips!  We also went to LOTS of places!

I also managed to get a little crafting in, read a book and bought quite a few more books!  I also received my Great Big Stitched Postcard whilst we were away but I haven’t had the energy to photograph it yet – hopefully it will appear tomorrow!

I finished it!  I’m still tossing ideas around for the other cover.  It’s going to have a butterfly theme and I have some lovely butterfly fabric for the back and some lilac fabric for the background of the front.  However I’m torn between having one huge butterfly or a few smaller butterflies on top of the lilac…  I’m also torn between simple silhouettes or more decorated butterflies!  Thoughts would be greatly received!

In the meantime, enjoy a couple of flowers from our yard!

The second is actually a weed, but as it’s quite pretty we’re letting it stay for a little longer.
